- SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: This showed up on my facebook feed. An old friend of mine from high school… He’s insanely proud of this and gave no details on where/how he got it, but I’d be willing to bet he did it himself. Sorry for low quality.
- WHAT’S AWFUL:Looks like a flexible barbell through a surface piercing. It doesn’t even look like it’s secured on the other side.
- HOW IT CAN BE FIXED:Go to a reputable piercer, get it re-done with a surface bar. Get it out before it rejects and causes more damage.
I know these are submissions, not admin uploads, but I get kinda mad seeing consistent posts saying that “flexible bars” as these people often call them, or “plastic” which disregards the TYPE of plastic, is always bad. For surface piercings PTFE is commonly used and has benefits. My piercer uses it all the time,it’s a legal piercing material (in Oregon, at least), and I’m so sick of seeing people make it out to be a bad thing. The picture seems too low of quality to tell if it’s secured on the other side but it looks like it is to me.
